Easter!

I'm celebrating my Jewish Easter Sunday pleasantly - a glass of Clare Valley Shiraz while I wait for some red curry to take home for dinner. Still haven't made it all the way to the dinner-alone stage. I actually had a wonderful day full of new and old friends...

Woke up, spoke to Amir, my fam, and Kira (she wagged her tail in delight!) Took a jog in Carlton Gardens (although last night's run there was more entertaining as I got mauled by a herd of Australian possums) Anyway, after my less entertaining cardio, I met up with Beth and her Johnnie. (Beth's happens to be in Melbs at the same time as she has met a man and he flew her across the world to spend the first few days of the rest of their lives together - or so all we romantics hope!)

Anyway, Johnnie was delightful - I love when my dear friends meet partners I adore! (cough, Ben, cough). We all went to St. Kilda for the afternoon. Had lunch, went shopping, then visited a dog park right on the beach! Johnnie is has a sarcastic and somewhat morbid sense of humor, he is a risk taker in both hobbies and love, and looks & treats Beth like the goddess she is. And there's something about that Aussie accent... Good on you, Beth!

Now I'm settling in for the night - I planning a solo adventure to Torquay tomorrow to hang out on the beach all day. I'm going to rent a surfboard or something. Work starts Tuesday. Happy Easter!
